Erin Inman is Primera’s President and CEO with a straight up passion for customer service. As she puts it, “I’m constantly working to make sure that we are providing better service, higher quality and doing a better job communicating than our clients have even come to expect from us. There is no finish line. We can continually elevate our service offering.” She has nearly 25 years of electrical engineering experience in the utility, higher education and industrial markets. Ultimately charged with overseeing all aspects of the firm, she remains actively involved in the day-to-day operations of our power delivery teams.
Erin studied electrical engineering at Auburn University before joining a mid-size engineering firm. Highly interested in the work she had been doing, she wanted more. Erin went back to school and received her MBA from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. Armed with a desire to make a difference, she joined Primera in 2003 where she was tasked with building a power delivery team. Since joining the company, Primera has more than doubled in size and she has grown the Power division into a national business with a reputation for quality design and superb service. Passionate about all that we stand for, she purchased the company from co-founders Michael DeSantiago and Pedro Cevallos-Candau when they retired in early 2016.
Outside the office, Erin enjoys gardening, biking, kayaking, cooking, and giving back to the community. She is regularly promoting women in engineering to various women’s groups and works with children’s groups to teach them about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) and how cool engineering can be. As a board member for New Life for Haiti, a program devoted to providing education for underprivileged children, she spends a great deal of her time with child sponsorship. She is actively involved in all aspects, doing everything from translating children’s books into Kreole to gathering school supplies and looking for sponsors to support various programs.
