Shannon Hackett is Primera’s resident streetlights program expert with a meticulous attention to detail. As she explains, “accurate and organized data is crucial for programs to run successfully. As a project manager with a high attention to detail, my goal is to always understand both the cause and effect of a situation to avoid errors that could snowball into bigger problems.” Shannon’s thoroughness has served her well since joining Primera’s utilities division in 2014 working on permitting projects and real estate acquisition. She has continued to build on her skillset and currently manages our smart streetlight projects while working closely with analysts to monitor asset data collection and reconciliation.
Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in landscape architecture and a certificate in environmental sustainability from Temple University and is also Prosci-certified. After graduating, Shannon joined Primera where she has been instrumental in implementing and managing billing updates for over 500,000 LED streetlights, which have saved customers over $10M and 25M kilowatt hours. Her work with LED smart streetlights has allowed her to interweave change management into her project management work, and has developed and executed new business processes, trained clients on new technology, presented at seminars and written articles on communication networks and data collection.
When she’s not focused on helping others adapt to changing technology, Shannon enjoys cooking, biking, and long walks with her pup.
