Who You Are

  • You have 5-10 years of experience in scheduling or as a project controls specialist.
  • You have exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • You have exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills.
  • You have strong documentation skills.
  • You are highly self-motivated and directed, and have keen attention to detail.

What You'll Do

  • You will operate software applications based on business/system requirements, primary focus will be on Oracle Primavera P6 version 18 web and client.
  • You will participate in developing and maintaining fully integrated resource loaded schedules using standard project management scheduling and earned value methodology.
  • You will participate in maintaining and developing time-phased budgets, work schedules, work breakdown structures, project codes, calendars, and cost account plans.
  • You will support contract processing and new project setup.
  • You will understand the difference between and manage Baseline, Working, and Forecast schedules.
  • You will interface with the project’s technical staff, financial staff, project managers, and the functional managers on aspects of scheduling, cost estimating, risk, and earned value analysis.
  • You will participate in monitoring the efforts of consultants and contractors.
  • You will monitor status of Project Schedules and ensures information is accurate across city systems.
  • You will review progress updates to EAM (Asset Management System) and updates P6 schedule accordingly.
  • You will develop project resource needs as aligned with resource needs identified in the Basis of Estimates (BOE).
  • You will maintain configuration management on project documents including but not limited to: schedules, change control, management plans, and work authorization documents.
  • You will perform variance analysis, baseline changes, and corrective actions.
  • You will review Contract Time Extensions and maintains the changes in the system
  • You will develop presentations pertaining to the project schedules, resources, and project performance.
  • You will identify problems, draw valid conclusions, and develop effective solutions to project related issues.
  • You will support project team in developing, implementing, and maintaining project controls systems.
  • You will gather, validate, and analyze project monthly performance data.
  • You will Process Estimate to Complete (ETC) updates.
  • You will development, review, and update of supporting project documentation.
  • You will maintain resource loading in P6 for timesheet system.
  • You will on an ongoing basis, develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including resource loading schedule activities.
  • You will generate resource projection curves and cost forecasts based on the resource loaded schedules.
