Rob is Primera’s leading site civil expert who enjoys using his experience to mentor young engineers and keep clients happy. As he explains, “my goal is to make our clients happy. My job is to make them look good to their bosses and communities.” His expertise is the result of more than 20 years of experience in civil engineering design and construction management, including experience in local streets, primary and arterial highways, streetscapes and median improvements, and site development. He has experience performing civil and roadway designs, developing roadway geometry, site plans, traffic control and staging plans, erosion control plans, special provision, cost estimates, and QA/QC on projects. He also has been a Resident Engineer and Construction Inspector for roadway and site projects.
Rob studied civil engineering at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville before earning a second bachelor’s degree in engineering science from Aurora University. Since then, he has relished the opportunity to work with clients in the higher education, federal, corporate, civic, K-12, healthcare, utility, transportation and parks and recreation markets. “Throughout my career, I’ve had the ability to work in all phases of transportation and site civil projects, which gives me the opportunity to join Primera in offering best-in-class services to our clients,” he explains.
When he’s not at work, Rob likes to spend as much time outdoors as possible. If he’s not exercising or biking, he’s likely playing just about any sport – football, baseball, tennis and softball in particular.
