Joe Avram leads Primera’s aviation group with a knack for solving even the most complex design challenges. His success is due to his ambitious nature and interest in keeping clients happy. As he states, “I thoroughly enjoy the intricacies of how an airport operates, essentially functioning like its own little city. It brings me joy to be able to ensure the smooth operation of such an elaborate system.” Joe’s expertise stems from nearly 15 years of experience in the transportation industry focused on project and team management. For the last several years he has primarily worked on a wide variety of airport and airline projects ranging from runways and taxiways, deicing facilities and ramp control towers, hangars and aprons, ground equipment maintenance facilities, fuel and glycol distributions stations, and corporate data centers.
Joe studied civil engineering at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, before returning to the classroom to earn his MBA from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois a few years into his career. He then earned his masters in civil engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana shortly after that. Prior to joining Primera, Joe served as the Aviation Section Manager for a Chicago-based engineering firm where he was responsible for cultivating relationships with aviation clients as well as project management. Joe’s aviation experience and expertise positions him to pioneer next-generation solutions while helping Primera develop new service lines for clients Nationwide.
When not in the office or at an airport, Joe will most likely be found at Wrigley Field cheering for his beloved Chicago Cubs. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and their very energetic German Shepherd.
